Transactional Analysis
Transactional Analysis (TA) - was developed by Eric Berne in the 1950s in the United States.
Transaction means interaction. It is the smallest component of social interaction and consists of stimulus from one person and a personal response from another in an interaction.
TA works to be aware of people’s transaction patterns, their way of communicating. TA is described as an intellectual tool for understanding the foundations of behaviour and feelings. The basic idea is that it can achieve a better self-understanding by analyzing the different types of transactions and exchange of views which we have with other people.
